Little One - Makoto Hill

This adorable little guy is Makoto and he belongs to Nathan and Akemi Hill. Nathan and I went to high school together and were good friends. I have many great memories and want to thank him for the friendship he gave.

Now Makoto was one month old when we did this session so it was a bit more challenging trying to do poses, but we managed to get one of my favorites which is the first posted. The sitting up pose with the tie was actually Nathan's idea and I loved it! ( This is for you Nathan: Credit of pose goes to Nathan)

Loved Makoto's shoes and hat. What fun accessories for a little boy!

One month olds are way more alert than a brand new newborn, but this guy started getting sleepy during the end of our session.

Family - The Braymers

Anna and Ross are very dear friends of ours and our little kiddos are only 2 months apart so we have lots of play dates. Ross and my husband, Jesse, grew up together in Pennsylvania and they both just happen to both move to North Carolina. (Guess they got tired of all that snow) Jonah just turned one when we did this session and what a stinking cutie he is you'll see.

One of my favorites from the session!

Mimi came along on the photo shoot to help with entertainment and she did a great job. Thanks Wanda!

Introducing the whole family, which includes Grady.

Adelai and Jonah were treated a stroll after our photo session

Newborn - Wright Geneviere Lewellen

Melissa is good friends with my sister Holly and I've had the privilege to photograph her first daughter Carter, but then they moved to Denver and I missed the opportunity to photograph her middle, Murphy.  However they moved back to Charlotte and I was able to photograph her latest little bundle of joy, Wright and what a beautiful family this is! These girls are just precious and thank you Lewellen's for having me document such wonderful times in their lives.

This trunk we used was a family heirloom so of course I wanted to incorporate it into our photo session!
