Family - The Yarboroughs { The Osborne Family and The Rice Family}

You may have seen Heather or Meredith's maternity and newborn sessions on my blog. If not I'll give you a back story. Meredith and I have been friends since our preschool years, but became best friends in seventh grade. I went to school with her and her sister Heather, their mother was my fourth grade teacher, and their dad gave me my first film slr camera (a Pentax K1000, I loved that camera). I spent lots of my highschool years with this family and have many wonderful memories. Thank you Yarboroughs for such great times and for the opportunity to capture your families at this time in your lives.

Here are Heather (on the left) and Meredith (on the right) with their firstborns.

We'll start off with the Osborne family. We did the photo session on Bryan and Heather's property and it was absolutely beautiful. The views were breathtaking.

Daddy and son had matching Perry's.

Mason was 3 months of age during this session. 

Next we have the Rice family. Abigail was 6 months of age during this session.

And here are the grandparents. 

 

Newborn - Jackson Scott Ervin

This was one of those sessions where the client consistently said, "You just do what you got to do to get the shot." I love clients like this! They allow me to have free expression in my photography and are always willing to try whatever I'm desiring to capture on camera. Thank you Ervin's for such a wonderful session. I had such a great time photographing your family and getting to know you. Little Jack was just a pleasure to photograph. He hardly ever cried and had such milky skin that I didn't have to retouch as much as I normally do for newborn skin. This saves me lots of time! This session flowed so well and I love so many of these shots that I've included a little more than I normally do for a newborn blog. There was so much love expressed from Janet, Seth, and Jack and you can truly see it in these photos. We even got a few shots with their dog Chloe.

Introducing Chloe. Love the last shot of them two and these wouldn't have been possible without Seth's awesome dog training and tricks to get Chloe to cooperate!

Seth has an awesome job as a children's librarian at the Imaginon. I ask him to pick some of his favorite books to feature during the session and the one below is called It's A Book by Lane Smith. I loved it so much that I bought it the next day as well as some others he had like Darth Vader and Son. I bought this one for my hubby since he's into Star Wars.

These next two shots were done with Janet's great grandmother's quilt. This is the side of the family that Jackson was named after.

The next several images have a rocker that was purchased by Janet's grandfather's grandparents when her grandfather was born. Did you get that? Wow so awesome to see an heirloom of that age still being used in a nursery from the same family.

And some details, which are always my favorite.
