Let me introduce you to the Cooper family. Matthew, Sarah, their two dogs (Kaiya and Oliver), and now... Jackson Lee! It's always exciting to be part of a newborn session when it's a couples first child. Just to see how they react and work together in their own unique ways is interesting. And of course, you never know how the dogs are going to treat the newest member of the family. But as Sarah describes them, they are a "team". I love when I can get a good shot of the baby sleeping serenely, without a care in the world, it's what pleases me most about newborn sessions. I enjoy seeing all the nursery decor that fits each family and the small details that make the nursery special, like the dresser, handmade by Sarah's granddad and the blanket made by Sarah's grandmother. Thanks again for making my job easy and more importantly, thanks for making it enjoyable!

Henry James Slocum Newborn Session - Charlotte Newborn Photography
I have known Brad and Jenny Slocum for quite a while now and was super excited when I found out she was pregnant. I had hoped that she would ask me to do some newborn pictures because I love having the opportunity to shoot fun, easy-going, interesting couples. Henry James is joining a family that loves bike riding, hiking, traveling, and just generally getting around! I absolutely adore their new home and all the little details around Henry's room that make it special. Notice the pinwheel mobile above his bed handmade by Jenny and look closely at the leaf quilt Brad's mom made for their wedding with all the family signatures and well wishes. This family is full of love and gladness and it's a joy to be a part of capturing this momentous occasion. It's really cool when the whole family shows their love and support, which is probably why James was used as his middle name (it's BOTH their dad's names). I particularly enjoyed the detailed pictures I was able to grab while Henry slept so calmly and loved how natural Brad and Jenny were at being parents. Thanks again for making my job easy and more importantly, thanks for making it enjoyable!
