Sneak Peek - Ashley and Keenan Wedding

I'm trying to be better about getting just a few sneak peeks up for my clients.
To all my past clients, so sorry I've not been better about this!

Just shot this beautiful wedding tonight of Ashley and Keenan Lau.
Congrats you two!

Newborn - Colins Elizabeth Fletcher

This sweet, baby girl belongs to Cara and Benjamin Fletcher and she has a big brother (2.5yrs.) named Boston. We started out the session with her sleeping away in the cradle that he grandfather made. I love watching babies sleep and examining all their details, especially those sweet lips and cute noses! Colins was an easy baby and stayed asleep most of our session. Her big brother, Boston, was full of energy like most toddler boys are and gave us some very precious moments to capture.

Congratulations again Fletcher family and thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture these special moments of your life.

The image above includes Colins wrapped up in a crocheted, family heirloom.
The shoes below are Cara's, mother's childhood shoes. They were in such good condition, but a little too big to feature on baby Colins feet for the session, so I opted to just feature them by themselves.

Married - Katie and Matt - The Farm at Brusharbor - Part 2

Here is part two of Katie and Matt's sweet, rainy wedding at The Farm at Brusharbor, a perfect rustic wedding venue. Included in this session are the portraits using those great clear umbrellas and the super fun reception in the barn. Katie's matron of honor, Mandy, helped out with most of the decor. Loved the vintage fabrics that were used and I plan to try this out on a little project of my own! The fabulous cupcakes were made by Gigi's Cupcakes and food catered by Berry Scrumptious. Flowers were arranged by Herr's Fresh Flowers.

In the image above you'll see that the guest had to choose orange or blue beads to show whose side they were on, Carolina (Katie) or Tennessee (Matt).

Married - Katie and Matt - The Farm at Brusharbor - Part 1

Katie just got the short end of the stick when it came to weather for her photography. At her bridal session it was a mere 42 degrees with gusts of wind and on her wedding day it was a chilly, rain filled  April day. However on both days all I saw was a girl who sees the glass half full. She was up for anything and I love it when clients have trust in me that I can still capture beautiful images despite the crazy weather. I brought along some clear umbrellas for the bridal party and I loved how they turned out in the photos. You'll see those images in part two of this wedding post.

When I first met Katie at our first meeting I just knew that I would have a good time around this girl. She just makes you smile! She's so genuine and her soul mate Matt, could not be more perfect for her. These two opted to do a first look on their wedding day, which you get to see a glimpse of in this post. The rain made all the greenery so vivid and provided a dramatic backdrop to their first look photos.
I've always enjoyed working at The Farm at Brusharbor and it's becoming a new favorite location of mine. Their ceremony took place on a covered patio and included a bluegrass band called Whiskey Rebellion. I just absolutely loved this band and was excited to hear them again at the reception.

Stay tuned for part two which will include the portraits and reception.
